About us
Who Are We?
We are a trusted home care provider supporting individuals to live independently, comfortably, and safely in the places they know best. Our focus is on helping people maintain quality of life within their own homes and local communities.
Our organisation is a family-run service, built on simple values of care, respect, and treating people properly. We support individuals and families across Surrey, offering care that feels reliable and close to home.
We are focused on building strong relationships within the local community and understand how important it is for families to feel confident in the people caring for their loved ones. That’s why we take great care in recruiting and supporting dedicated carers who deliver care with compassion, professionalism, and consistency.
Trusted Home Care Services
We are proud to support individuals and families by delivering reliable, compassionate home care that helps people remain independent in the places they feel most comfortable.
Our reputation is shaped by the experiences of the people we support and the families who place their trust in us. We’re often told how much of a difference familiar faces and reliable care make to everyday life. Families regularly mention the professionalism of our carers, as well as the kindness and respect shown during each visit.
By taking time to choose the right carers, supporting them with ongoing training, and building strong relationships locally, we aim to provide care that is dependable, flexible, and centred around each individual’s needs.
We contacted MSEA Care when we were feeling quite overwhelmed. They explained everything clearly and stayed in touch throughout. It was reassuring knowing they were managing the care properly and not just handing things over.
The carers have been reliable, kind, and respectful. What stood out for us was that MSEA Care stayed involved and checked in regularly, which made us feel supported as a family
MSEA Care have helped my mum stay at home safely. Communication has been good, and if we’ve had any questions, they’ve always been easy to reach.
We didn’t want a service that just introduced carers and stepped back. MSEA Care felt different — organised, responsible, and genuinely involved in making sure things were right.
The personal care has been handled with care and dignity. Everything feels planned properly, and we’re confident the service is being overseen, not left to chance.
There’s a real sense of continuity with MSEA Care. The same carers, clear communication, and a team that knows what’s going on. That’s made a big difference for us.
My dad gets help with day-to-day tasks and companionship, and he’s much more settled now. The carers are friendly and professional, and the service feels well run.
Since starting with MSEA Care, we’ve felt far more at ease. It’s a relief knowing the care is managed properly and that there’s always someone accountable if we need support.
What we do
We provide care that enables people to live comfortably and confidently in their own homes. From occasional support with everyday tasks to full-time live-in care for those who require constant assistance, our service is shaped around each individual’s needs. We help with a wide range of daily activities, including care, mobility support, meal preparation, and household tasks, always delivered with dignity and respect.
What stands out to me is the consistency of care and the genuine respect shown to every individual. The team clearly prioritises the needs and wellbeing of the people they support, and that commitment is reflected in the standard of care delivered every day.

A message from Emma Pearson, Chief Executive
At Helping Hands, our purpose is simple: helping people live well in the homes and communities they love.
We do this by listening closely to customers and families, taking the time to understand individual needs and what truly matters, keeping everyone involved and informed every step of the way.
Helping Hands continues to be a leader in professional home care, with customer reviews consistently rating us as Excellent across all our services, from a half an hour visit to live-in care.
Our expert carers do more than provide practical help at home, they build meaningful relationships, offer companionship, and bring warmth and kindness into everyday life. We don’t use any agency staff – ever, because we believe trust and continuity of service, delivered by Helping Hands trained professionals is at the heart of truly great care.
By supporting our people, we empower them to care at their best, focus on our customers and ultimately deliver our purpose, that most special of roles; helping people live well at home and in the communities they love.

Our history
Our story began in the Midlands in the late 1980s when our company founder, Mary Lee, was working for Social Services. Mary spotted that within the care sector, local authorities were increasingly moving away from providing care and looking to the private sector to deliver support in the community.
From her kitchen table in a small Warwickshire village, Mary began finding carers that could support people at home. As demand for her services grew, Mary increasingly worked evenings and weekends and finally, decided to make this her new career. Helping Hands was born.
Helping Hands Home Care initially started working with four local authorities. As more people needed support, Mary employed more carers from the local area – ensuring each person who joined her mission encompassed the Helping Hands way, always acting with kindness to help people live their lives in the way that suited them.
Over the years, with a growing reputation for delivering high-quality care at home, Mary’s two sons, Tim and Ben, joined her in helping run the business. Mary continued to work at Helping Hands until her retirement in 2007. Her founding principles remain an important part of the company’s mission today.
